1) The Dunn Learning Center at Rhode Island Tutorial & Educational Services
In the fall of 2005, the Dunn Institute merged with Rhode Island Tutorial and Educational Services (RITES), an organization which provides one-on-one, personalized tutoring, small-group programs, and educational support services to the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts communities. RITES and Dunn share the philosophy that not everyone learns the same way, but that with the right tools, strategies and delivery, each child with cognitive potential can become a successful learner. This year, the Institute's RITES division will provide after-school and summer supplemental education programs for over 200 students throughout Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
2) Supplemental Educational Services
The Dunn Institute was recently named a Supplemental Services Provider by the Rhode Island Department of Education. As an SES Provider, the Institute provides high quality after-school supplemental literacy support programs for students who are attending low-performing schools in Rhode Island's core cities.
