CVS Highlander Charter School
The CVS Highlander Charter School currently serves as the "lab school" for implementing Dunn's best research and practices - thus ensuring that we bring academic success to inner-city students with learning differences - students who would not otherwise have access to high-quality, consistent and effective intervention.

Founded in 2000 as the first independent charter school in Rhode Island with 75 students in K-4, the CVS Highlander Charter School has grown to 235 students in grades K-8. The school's mission is that all children will develop, through a breath of rigorous learning experiences, a commitment to excellence in all they do, a passion for lifelong learning, and the skills they need to be active, responsible, and productive community members.

The Hamilton School at Wheeler
Founded in Providence, Rhode Island, almost twenty years ago, The Hamilton School at Wheeler is a "school-within-a-school" for bright students in grades 1- 8 with language-based learning differences. Core subjects, such as language arts and math, science, and social studies are taught in small classrooms of no more than eleven students with highly qualified teachers using multisensory, systematic instructional approaches. Other areas of study, such as art, theater, music, enrichment, and physical education, as well as lunch and recess periods, integrate Hamilton students with the Wheeler School population, providing broader social and educational opportunities, and the benefits of shared facilities, faculty and expertise.

The Hamilton School implements, develops and hones the proven teaching practices disseminated by The Dunn Institute, and serves as a successful model for future schools-within-schools.
